Chris L. Firestone is Associate Professor of Philosophy in the School of Humanities at Trinity College and part-time instructor at Trinity Graduate School (Deerfield, IL). He is author of "Kant and Theology at the Boundaries of Reason" (Ashgate Publishers, Ltd., 2009), co-author (with Nathan Jacobs) of "In Defense of Kant’s Religion" (Indiana University Press, 2008), Guest Editor of a Special Symposium Edition of Philosophia Christi on "Kant and the New Philosophy of Religion" (2007), co-editor (with Stephen R. Palmquist) of and contributor to "Kant and the New Philosophy of Religion" (Indiana University Press, 2006), and co-editor (with Nathan Jacobs) of the forthcoming volume "God and the Enlightenment" (University of Notre Dame Press, 2010).  For the last seven years, he has organized and moderated the "Trinity Debates"--an annual debate covering a wide range of problems at the interface of faith and philosophy.  He also participates in public philosophical debates on a range of topics.  His abiding interests include Kant, the Enlightenment, philosophical/theological realism, and religion/religious studies.  He is currently a member of the American Academy of Religion, the American Philosophical Association, and the Society of Christian Philosophers.
